Much like the Pinewood derby, the firehouse is one of those things that you are obligated to do when you have a kid in scouting. we have managed to avoid it a few of the years that Michael was in. As mentioned earlier when Michael left cub scouts we got no reprieve as Isaac joined. Seamless…. yeah, we’re loving it.
Anyhow, Isaac wasn’t buying any of our excuses so we were off to the fire house on a cold and rainy day. Luckily, once we got there the kids realized that we had done this just a few times before and they weren’t incredibly interested. Such smart cookies. I will admit, it was a little fun, made for good photo ops and we got to eat a ton of hot dogs as they ran out last year so ordered a butt load this year and then no one came because of the rain. Yeah for us!
The only thing Sariah cared about was the dog.
