We had a great time (as always) at the ward’s Christmas party. It was a little different for us this year as we were not in charge of anything except the decorations. Nice though, don’t get me wrong…… it was nice to not be the one whom every seeks out for answers and nice to not be the one who is wondering if all the components will come together into a success or not.
Since we were still activities coordinators as of last Christmas, a few days after mom and I went out and purchased all of the decorations. We had big plans and I was a tad afraid they would not come together. However, Matt worked all day and pulled off exactly what I had been envisioning!!! It was incredibly beautiful. I was only sad that it would only be up for one night.
The pictures really don’t do it justice………
The hanging ceiling balls really took a great deal of time. They were large Christmas ornaments strung on fishing line and cris-crossed the entire gym from corner to corner.
The stage and the over flow area where wrapped in lights and more hanging ornaments, with lighted garland running across the stage. The long tables had candles and silver and gold ornaments down the center.
The center pieces for the round tables.
Sariah’s friend Daniel and her in line to see Santa. Seems these two always pop up together…..
Not sure why no one in this picture looks like they want to be there. Santa is even looking quit scary…….. Maybe it has been a rough year for everyone.
