Growing....

Half the time I sit back and marvel at how my children seem to morph into their next phase without me noticing, how does that happen? One day you are looking at an infant, next their toddling and telling you no. Blink again and they are 6 and super emotional. But not to be outdone you wake up the next day and realize they now have that mature look to them, the one that says " don't look now, but I don't need you as much and I am doing a lot of thinking for myself these days".

Then the other half of me can not wait for them to grow, seriously!!! Not because I am anxious for them to leave but because I can not wait to see what life holds for them. A friend is sending her son on a mission for two years in Hunduras. I love hearing her talk about the preperations and anxiously wait for the time when it is my turn to experience the thrill of knowing that my child is about to have a life-changing experience.

But for now the time has come for Tristan to recieve his first hair cut. It is pretty unruly but oh, how I love those blond baby curls! sniff, sniff.

Awwww.... I hate first haircut time. Those curls are so sweet. Don't let him grow any more, OK?
