Half a dozen: sequestered

A few months ago I was mentioning to a group of friends that I really wanted to be sequestered for a weekend. No one to be responsible for... That is when one of them offered to let me and another friend borrow her condo in Birch Bay.

We then spent the next six weeks looking forward to it.

Finally this past weekend we went and it was heaven!!!! Thank you so much Darcy!!!!

We got in late on Friday so it was off to a great burger place, then to the grocery store so we wouldn't spend all of our meals eating out.

Saturday I didn't rise until after 10:00, and I slept great I might add!! First time in a long time that I was not sharing a bed :) We got going around 2:30 and just drove and saw all the sights, stopped in a few stores, ran across some truly scary garage sales and headed back to the room. Spent the night swimming in the very warm pool, right up until they kicked us out.

Sunday we hit the pool and the hot tub, headed back to the room to pack and then checked in for five hours of pampering. There was a spa that was not actually open anymore but the old owner had talked the hew owner into opening it for a ladies day. There were probably about ten of us and we spent the whole time pampering ourselves and each other. All of the equipment and product was there, there just wasn't anyone who was doing the treatments for you.

We started with manicures (which was probably backwards but we know better for next time. Then spent time in the massaging chair doing each others pedicures. From there she went to sit in a jetted milk bath and I scrubbed down with a loofa, then rubbed in olive oil and then took a hot luxurious shower (by myself, without a baby I might add!). Then headed for the steam bath.

A light lunch was served and we spent time in the meditation room and then went to give each other facials. Another round in the steam bath and I was pretty much a goner. Loved it!!!!
