catch up

I haven't blogged in so long that I know you are all going through withdrawal, so here you go... just to feed your addiction:)

After having lived here for over two years I have decided that I want an actual yard that the children can play in.  I also did a bit of vegetable gardening this year.  We had to do container planting due to the lack of a yard.....

Here are the babies playing in the potting soil and compost, oh yeah.....

Some of our yard as it stands now....

While weeding we found this under our fence line. we were very excited, but the next day we checked on them and there was a hole in one that looked like an animal had gotten to it.

It has been extremely hot out for our part of the country.  This is Tristan's favorite way of cooling down....

And my hubby has decided to forgo the Amish look and has not only cut off all his hair but is now also clean shaven.  Here is my new man.

Good luck on the yard! We are awaiting the sod for our yard so I don't have to worry as much about red clay dirt stains anymore but the rain won't stay away!
What did you plant? With the weather we have been having I am doubtful of harvesting anything from our garden this year. UGH!
Love Tristan's pic! THat a boy!!
Look at that baby face! Matt you look years younger!!

I second that! Good luck wit the yard! It is so much work, but rewarding when you can send off all your kids for a mandatory 1 hour outside break! lol

I was wondering yesterday where you had gone... so thanks for feeding MY addiction! : ) Looks like a lot of summer time work and fun. Good luck with that yard, we decided to tackle a garden this year, but we'll see if the grass and weeds win. I have to say I like the Amish version of your hubby!

Yay Jen! I am so excited for you guys to have a yard. i know what a difference it makes and you're in for a much better summer experience! Also, I truly enjoyed watching Seri perform in the twelfth knight. Kaylyn and I went and were very impressed with the group and acting. She did such a great job!
