Spring Is Here!!!

I love, love , love our Coop!!!!  My best friends are part of this group and I love what the group offers both me and my children.  Yesterday we traveled to a family run goat and cheese farm.  A husband and wife and their two teenage daughters run it and were great to us!! Thanks to Blue rose dairy. http://bluerosedairy.com/

It was also nice because as a family they had nine children and home schooled them all.  In my dreams that are very far from reality, Matt and I would do something close to this. Have a little farm with goats, cows, a spinning herd, chickens and a large garden.  Grow our own produce, Get milk, cheese, and eggs......the whole nine  yards.  It was comforting to see someone living my dream.

It was so neat to see all the baby goats.

These two were born shortly before we arrived.

Now, this is efficient!!!

They taught us how to make cheese and then let us sample a variety of cheeses. Yum......

After some petting, Sariah tried to get away from the goats but they proceeded to eat our hay ride!

This is one of Sariahs favorite friends, I think mostly because he lets her do whatever she wants.  She has been seen hugging and kissing him in other blog posts.

As the tractor drove off the goats were determined to follow their food.

Ooooh! Baby goats and goat cheese! Do you have to be LDS to join your co-op?

Nope. We actually meet at a unitarian Church and a good portion of the coop members are from that church. We don't teach religious classes but we do have an opening and closing prayer. Let me know if you are interested and maybe you could come visit and see one day.

OK, I meant co-op, not coop. :)
