Happy Halloween

Unfortunately none of the pictures of the children came out, it was too dark. We do have pictures of the pumpkins though. Seri had the owl, Michael had the scary face and Isaac had the eyeballs. His was dropped and split in half and so we made the best out of it. I think they turned out great.
We went trick or treating with my cousin and her family and the kids had such a great time!!!

With Halloween approaching we finally headed out to a pumpkin patch. I wasn't expecting too much, but this place really went out of their way to make sure it was a great experience!! We first hit the corn mazes. There were two of them and they gave us a little map. Within the maze there were numbered hole punches and you were supposed to find all of them and punch the corresponding number on your paper. Luckily we had Matt with us and I guesse the Army was good for something because he was able to get us through the mazes without a hitch. In fact, we had families joining up with us because they had been wandering around lost for quite awhile. We also had a bag of kettle corn and some water in case we didn't make it out :) It was neat to watch them make the kettle corn, they popped it in this huge tub and then dumped it into a vat. You can't really see it that well in the picture, but the kids sat there and watched them for quite awhile.
Then it was pumpkin time and luckily the kids were not to particular when it came to picking out the perfect one. the next stop was at the corn trailer where we choose our corn and then shucked it right there.
All in all we really had a great time and can't waite to do it again next year.

Bear with me, there are a ton of pictures of the little princess! She started smiling last week and since then I have been on a quest to capture that elusive smile. Here are pics of my attempts and successes.

4th of July.

Yes, this blog is a little late. I just got the pictures from my cousin. Anyhow, we had a great 4th and were so thankful that we got to spend it with family. This holiday has always been a special one to our family and one we look forward to with great anticipation.
While we were in the military we lived in El Paso Texas and Germany, both places where we could not set off our own fireworks. So, this year we really had a blast!!
We also had the whole family together for a picture, something that has not happened since I was nine!!

Nana brought this huge cookie that everyone enjoyed, especially the children! Aunt shawn made a jello cake which we all had a great laugh over. She had covered it with plastic wrap in the fridge and then when she took it out to put the Whip cream on it she proceeded to put the topping right on top of the plastic wrap!

Unfortunatly we did not get a picture of Sariah in her blessing gown, she was kind of anxious to get out of it and into some comfy clothes and I didn't have the heart to put her back into it.

Sariah's blessing

Sariah was blessed on the 8th of October and for the first time we were able to have family and friends present at the blessing. It was so wonderful. Nana, Great Aunt Sheryl, Aunt Shawn and Uncle Brian, Cousin Alex and Hayden, God mother Emily and Jen were all there and we actually filled a pew and a half!! Everyone at church thought it was funny that Sariah was being passed up and down the pew. There are definetly enough people to hold her and love her.

After sacrament we all went to my cousin's house were Great grandma and uncle Dennis joined us. We had a great time and God mommy Emily did a great job at changing all of her dirty diapers :) Nana brought a ton of food and the family bought her a lot of really cute dresses (it is so much fun to have a girl!).

Ding, Dong, Ditch

We started the season by recieving a plate of goodies on our doorstep. Matt was calming the baby while I was at the gym and so couldn't get to the door very quickly. Then he looked out the peep hole and didn't see anyone so he didn't open the door. When I came home there were the goodies. Thanks to whoever left them we really appreciated them!
Attached was an envelpe with a bunch of these ghost cards in it and a letter to keep the fun going by dropping off more goodies to someone else. Here was our contribution. I meant to take a picture of the children ringing the doorbell, but we had to run fast!!! Too much fun. The kids are begging to do it again, so come Christmas time you better answer your door quickly :)

Just thought I would post some pics of the children. They do grow so quickly.

Is it possible for a fourth child not to be spoiled?

Sariah is definetly a "hold-me" baby. Now I realize why. There are always plenty of people who would rather hold her than hear her cry. I tried to lay her down today only to come out to find Seri holding her because she had started to cry. Then a few hours later I found Michael had picked her up for the same reason and had rocked her to sleep.....Is there hope?

Poor Baby

Today I come out to the living room and notice something odd about Sariah, Isaac had stuck a bunch of stickers right on her bottom. She will either grow up twisted or with a great sense of humor.




The other day we were in the car when all of a sudden the children started laughing hysterically. Of course we inquire as to what is so funny and were given the standard answer of "oh nothing". I come on here to upload the pictures and find this one of Sariah with a pom pom on her head. Seri says "well, now you know what was so funny the other day". My poor baby girl.

Do the Puyallup

We went to the Puyyalup fair last week, another event that means you have to go to at least once a year. The children had a blast and really enjoyed looking at all the animals. We even saw a kangaroo and a zebra. Of course the best part was all the rides!! Just figured out that I need a new camera, these pictures are not coming out all that great. Luckily Christmas is just around the corner, I will keep my fingers crossed.
