We were really excited to have Matt’s parents, Papa and Meme come to visit us in the June of last year.
Matt’s family is spread across the country, no literally, across the entire country… His parents live in Minnesota, he has a brother in Florida and another brother in Texas. Family sightings are rare and in between and are greatly enjoyed when they do happen to occur.
we had to spend a day in Seattle and took them to the aquarium. We always enjoy that place. We also shopped around Pikes place. Never did make it to the Space Needle which was on Papa’s list, but he got a good view of it which he said was enough :)

Meme and the kids at the zoo. We got an early Christmas present that we used quit a few times during the past year, a membership to the Woodland Park Zoo.
And we spent a lot of time just hanging out, cherishing the time together.
Papa made sure he passed down the family recipe of how to make your own Thousand Island dressing.
