The randomness that is our life.

I REALLY need to get back to blogging more frequently.  A dear friend of mine and I were talking the other day and she mentioned how nice it would be to have these blogs to look back on one day because “trust me, you do forget”.  I know that is wisdom because every once in awhile I will hop on here and see one of those boxes at the end of  a post from a different post and I will think, “Oh man, I totally forgot about that!  Look how young they are!”.

So here to supplement my memory loss as I age I present random pics from the last few months.

I am reading a book now that mentioned that happiness is the moments.  You can’t search for it or look for it as if it were prey and you the predator.  You have to recognize the moment and then be still and languish in it. That is happiness.

The pic above is my happiness.  That moment when the children are still and at peace, when they are together and happy to be together. I imagine them pondering the wonder that God created and contemplating their place in this large world. Of course they are probably just transfixed into a thoughtless state by the rhythmic motion of the waves.  But a mom can pretend right?  This moment also makes me glad for the wisdom that my husband had in bringing us to the Pacific Northwest to live. I truly love it here.

Serenitie has recently become pretty annoyed. We knew it was coming. That’s what happens when you are from a large family… Three times in the past six months she has received comments or questions about her younger sibling being her child.  She is NOT taking it well.  I find it pretty humorous, but then I also find relief in the fact that she is not doing a typical teenage thing and romanticizing the idea of having a baby of her own. Pretty sure we don’t have to worry about that with her any time soon Smile

Kaden is growing up sooo very fast.  He is now able to play on a lot of the play ground equipment and loves that he is able to keep up with his siblings.

Another example of one of those “happy moments”.  I always tell my hubby that he is incredibly sexy when playing with the kids or when cleaning and I totally stand by that.  I love the way that man loves his family!!!!

I love this guy!!!  So laid back and yet unpredictable.  So wise for his age….  This smile truly lights up my day!

He found my old Raggedy Ann doll from when I was little and was fascinated with it.  I went online to Etsy to see what they run and Holy Cow! I think I will just let him continue to play with mine…

This pic was in Nov. I got small again. Course I have since gotten bigger again… But had to post it to remember that I did indeed get this small once.

During my first surgery we picked up this knee scooter which was a life saver. Kaden thought it was the greatest toy he had ever seen and promptly took up residence right here.  No matter where I went that little boy could be seen happily driving along.

Sariah continues to love to nurture her younger siblings.  Although, as you can tell, Kaden does not usually feel that he is in need of her nurturing.  She asked me the other day why he always bit her nose. I replied that it was probably his way of letting her know that he doesn’t want to be carried right now. Smile
