Updates

Matt just finished the Volleyball season, unfortunately they did not do very well and he is not looking forward to finding another exercise program to fill the void until Weyerhaeuser Volley ball starts.
As Weyerhaeuser continues to reduce a ton of employees Matt is still safe and secure and for that we are thankful!!

Jen is surviving......She is now the Main adult advisor for Serenitie's youth service group and has decided that it is considered a part time job. She is beginning to make peace with the fact that you can't make everyone happy at the same time and is praying that someone else will want the job soon. But meanwhile I am enjoying it.

Both Matt and Jen have been on the South Beach diet since Nov. 1. Too date Matt has lost 23 pounds and Jen has lost 21. Hoorah!! Yes, we survived Thanksgiving unscathed.

Serenitie has been taking a class in Shakespear and voice lessons in addition to being on the swim team. She is managing beautifully and is such an amazing girl. More on her in our homeschool blog "Home is where our heart is".

Michael has been enjoying wrestling, well maybe enjoying is not exactly the right word. He is often frustrated at his lack of ability, but we keep telling him that it is his first year. Overall it is a good experience for him and I think that he recognizes that. The downside to our dieting is that it trickles down to the children and he has lost nine pounds since the season started, droppinig him down another weight class.

Isaac was in soccer but has decided next year he wants to join his brother on the wrestling team. He is really looking forward to it. He is now reading fairly well and his math is astounding. I would not be surprised if he ends up on the same level as Michael in a year or two.

Sariah is two.....enough said......

Tristan is eight months now and such a joy!! He has finally plumped up and is now the biggest baby I have ever had. So much for failure to thrive!!! He sits proficiently and rolls, but there is still no sign of crawling. He adores food and bitter biscuits.
