zoo lights

Each christmas season Point Defiance Zoo decorates with a lot of light displays depicting animals and visitors come in the evening after the live animals are put away for the night and view the "Light animals". Well I guesse we didn't explain this well to our children. They were so excited to go and after walking through the zoo for awhile Michael finally asked where all the animals where. I explained that that they were all sleeping and he replied "well then, what exactly is the point?".
Luckily for them the aquarium was open and they got to see all the fish. They spent literally almost an hour on the floor watching the sharks. We also had a very interesting conversation as we are studying the events of the USS Inianapolis and the shark attacks and here were real sharks to compare to.
