Vik Muniz

I took the children to the Seattle Asian Art Museum to see works from the featured artist, Vik Muniz. Such an incredibly talented man!!! He makes art out of any kind of medium that strikes his fancy. Chocalet, spaghetti, dust, dirt, caviar, diamonds, string, twine, sugar, things from the vacuum cleaner bag.....you get the feeling that no material is beyond this man's imagination. Truly shows that art can be made from anything.
There is a pic of a collection entitled "mounds" which is just that, mounds of stuff.
Also one of a horse made out of army men, and our favorite Mona Lisa doubled, one made of Peanut butter, the other of Jelly!! We took home a poster of this one.
I am sorry the pictures lately have all been coming out less than stellar. They do not offer high speed internet in our area yet and so we are stuck with dial up which is not loading the picturtes as nicely as I would like it to.
