3 is a magic number

When I taught school, in order to help the children memorize their 3 times tables I use to play this song by School house rock.  But truly, three is a magic number. It’s the entrance of them truly gaining their independence and self a bit.  No longer are they your shadow.

It is also a tough age for Matt and I. I don’t know who coined the phrase “terrible two’s: but maybe their kid never made it to three, so they never saw how much more difficult the third year is.

We joke that t.J moves from one disaster to another. Oh, wait. Actually it’s not a joke at all…  We hear “no, I don’t want to.” and “ Leave me alone!” on an hourly basis.  Oh, my dear boy. I am anxiously counting the days until you are four.
