They did a fantastic job! We first went to see "A midsummer Night's Dream". It was interesting because they changed the setting to a Vegas showplace.
Then, two nights later we went to see "Romeo and Juliet". The children were well behaved and were actually following along very well.
As we were walking to the van Michael mentioned that the play was great and his favorite part was when Juliet told the nurse "How can you say you are out of breath when you are using your own breath to tell me you have no breath?". Too funny.
I was very surprised at how well they grasped the language and were able to follow along. When making this remark to a friend she said that she had heard that children who are accustomed to reading scripture often have no difficulty with Shakesperian language. Interesting. Guesse Scripture study has more bonuses than we thought.
The outdoor environment did make me miss El Paso though. Every summer they used to do Shakespear on the rocks in the canyon and it was always a huge production. Man, did we love that.
